Mast rotation daigram for the 16

Although it's not class legal, I'd like to put a mast rotation control arm on my 16. Does anyone know of a diagram illustrating it's configuration and where I might find it? Thanks

Hey, I like the swivel cleat for the downhaul/cunningham, but that's not legal (the swivel) or is it?

The swivel is not class legal - the lower attachment point presented some problems (How are we going to anchor this?) and that was an easy fix.

The approved attachment is an adaptation of the top plate off the main traveller. The cleat cannot swivel, although there is some limited side-to-side movement.

A interim ruling was just issued stating that the cleat has to be on the bottom. A couple of inventive sailors figured out that if they reversed the system (by mounting the cleat to the gooseneck), that they could get more swivel action out of it.

I was thinking of "threading" a small eyestrap through the eyestrap mounted atop (or bottom in the case) of a triple block/with cleat and securing that using #10-32 nuts in the mast track. But this probably would allow 30 to 45 degrees of sideways movement. I was just trying to think of the most economical way to attach a "standard" block to the mast. What do you think? If I don't try to somehow run the control line to the side rail/s (run straight aft) will this "fly"?
