Bored and staying home with my one year old son, tonight I suffered through Jaws II (1978) on TV simply because I remembered the movie featured catamarans and I thought I would try to identify them. At best I am able to positively identify two of the three main catamarans attacked by the shark in the film:
1. Sol Cat 18
2. Sizzler
I am happy to report no Hobies were harmed by the shark, although some 16s did make casual background appearances.

Here's more info on the Sizzler: http://www.thebeachcats.com/modules.php ... le&sid=116

Thanks Skip!
That's a really cool looking boat. I wonder how it actually sailed. The hulls look like they would have a lot of lift and they have enough rocker to get up and down the beach without burying a hull in turf.

I like to try other cats - There was a lot of real garbage produced, but this looks viable.

Too bad the Sizzler fizzled.
