SX Jibs are Mylar / Dacron laminate. The cut would be vertical triangles of cloth.

The Hobie 18 Jib is all dacron and a horizontal cut.

There is a description of the differences in the boat models in the FAQ section: http://www.hobiecat.com/community/viewtopic.php?t=2606

The Sx has a 1 1/2' taller mast, Mylar main and jib.
