Ok, here is an idea for a great Hobie Cat commercial. Bear with me on this one...

First scene you see a man driving his car to work in a business suit and his car is up on two wheels while going down the road. He is yelling, "Woooooo! Yeaaaaaaaaah!"

Second scene you see the man sitting at his desk writing something, and his desk is proped up on two legs. He is yelling, "Woooooo! Yeaaaaaah!"

Third scene you see fellow employees talking about him saying he just got a new Hobie Cat (like they were jealous or something).

The fourth scene you see him out on a Hobie Cat, water is spraying in his face, He is high up on one hull, screeming "Whooooo! Yeaaaaaaah!" Then an annnouncer comes on and says, "The new Hobie Cats are waiting for you to fly. Come join the fun!" (or something like that)

And the last scene, you see the same guy in his bed at night sleeping, the bed is proped up on two legs, and you can hear a faint, muffled, "Whoooooo! Yeaaaaaah!"

What do you think? Man, I would love to see this on tv.... It would be so funny! (just another wacky idea I got while I was on my Hobie Cat, up on one hull and yelling, "Whooooo! Yeaaaaaaaah!")

I can see using this as an online ad clip too.. or maybe, boat show video or in store video clip. We don't do any national TV due to the excessive cost, but maybe a video that is created for dealers use in their market areas.

I'll be sure to pass along the idea.

Ok, Scott.

Looks like the new Hobie has had the proper effect.

It's great to hear you've been having a blast. Me too. I spent Saturday afternoon on Mallet's Bay on a friend's Hobie 18. Our GPS says we hit 19.8 MPH during one run...yippee..! Best day on the water this year, even though it was a bit scarry at times... Several times we received an extra "puff" while flying a hull. Whoaaaaa....steady hands on the tiller and sheets prevented a capsize...but the hearts were pounding.

Hope the 16 is coming along. Good luck getting on the water as much as possible.

Don't wait for someone else to do it. get the video camera and make the ad. That's even more fun than thinking about it

Turn it into QT and share the fun. [/b]

 Great Idea, and put a couple of really ugly functional units (like the Miller Lite girls) in scene four with this guy. This would go like wildfire over the internet in QT form as suggested.
