Long story short, I found the perfect boat and trailer, only its about a 1700 mile drive from me. Any idea on how much would it cost to have it shipped too me?

I once had a turbo Karmann Ghia shipped from Las Vegas to San Fransisco. It cost 700$. The truck driver was definitely a tweaker, definitely.

Check CL for someone who might be making that trip already and would tow your cat.

Google shipping quotes with some of the shipping brokers you will find. Sign up for 3 or 4, I did it one time for shipping a car from CA to SC and had numbers as high as $1,500 all the way down to $435.
