I leave my plugs in all year long... is this a bad thing? I pull them to drain and then immediately plug them again.

You're probably OK. The pressure change if the temp went from freezing to 100F is about 14% or 2psi. Obviously that wouldn't happen overnight and the hulls are not completely airtight (or we wouldn't need drain plugs!).

I typically leave my drain plugs in during the season and only remove them to drain the boat and then put them back in right away. I'm more concerned about losing a plug while driving down the road than anything else if I leave them out.

Just make checking that they're in part of your setup routine. I usually check at least two times before launching.
