Very cool! What's the MSRP going to be? Is it the same sail as the Bravo? It looks similar and waaay bigger than the normal Kayak sail (edit: duh, looked at teh sail areas and mast length, it's smaller than the Bravo). Just waiting for the first crazy person to add hydrofoils onto the amas and be flying two hulls like those 40+ foot tris

I'm worried about the ">> Two-piece mast w/ full length storage bad" though - so storing it full-length is bad?

Hey Matt,

Saw a couple at the Long Beach, California boat launch with one of these last Saturday only it was blue. It was amazing to watch. It drew the attention of everyone on the beach. It was launched into the open ocean without the sail up but when the sail was raised (unfurled), it took off and disappeared for what seemed like several hours. All on the beach were quite impressed, especially me. I already have a water craft but this was one of those things that make you go "hmmmm."

Pretty cool! Consider a fishing version. It would be a nice stable platform to fish from.Add some mesh tramps ala the Getaway for storage and bingo, a take it anywhere platform that's easily transported

What a great concept. I sail off the coast of Florida and I'm wondering about the amas and the mast without shrouds. How sturdy are these? Would there be a problem using this in light to moderate seas? or launching and recovering through the surf? I know the Bravo doesn't have shrouds, but it does have that mast support at the base. I guess my question is, how sturdy is the boat? And yes, I want one.

two of these were on mission bay in san diego this weekend. very cool, easy to sail, and rig. neat trick with amas to allow easy docking without the need or want for ama trampolines. You'll just have to see it.

Pretty Sturdy. I sailed in some rough 20-24 knots wind. No problem. Rough seas off Oceanside harbor.

The mast is held in place much like a Laser, but the base of the mast has a pin that fits into a small hole in the keel. The upper support is welded to the crossbar section. There are bearings there for the furling system. The whole mast spins on the pin to furl the sail. No shrouds or wires involved. There is a "V" support structure inside the hull too.
