Anyone familiar with this boat? I'm guessing it was the Holder equivalent to a Laser, but even a little smaller.

There have been two or three of them around my sailing club grounds, but after our Spring work day today, one of them ended up in the dumpster. The hull looked like it was in fine shape, but I have no idea where the mast or sails are. It was probably a kids' training boat in years past.

Would this boat be worth salvaging? I took the liberty of removing most of the hardware, since I really couldn't see any reason to let that go to waste. The dumpster is not half full, so it's probably not going anywhere for awile.

Anyone want it?

I sailed one of these when I was 10. Every weekend I would rumble around San Diego Harbor in it. It was great fun. I would save it in a second.

A ten year old can rig the boat in 10 min, it unsinkable, and its fast.

Save it, and donate it to a orphanage.
Here is a good deal on one. 449$

Thanks for the reply and photo. At least now I know what mast & sail to look for. Someone already fished it out of the dumpster and set it aside. (But now they're probably wondering what happened to the hardware I took off it.) Rudder, tiller and centerboard are also AWOL.

We have a lot of abandoned boats at our club, most of them incomplete. With missing parts, they probably figured this little one wasn't worth hanging on to.
