Need to replace a few missing gudgeon screws on an old style (2 separate gudgeons) H17. Searched a bunch on here and can only find info on tapping and enlarging threads. Mine are perfect - just misplaced a pair or screws and need for Friday. Thanks!

FYI, #12-24 is not a common screw size, so its pretty unlikely you'll find them at a local hardware store. You'll probably have to go to a place like mcmaster-carr, fastenal, or your Hobie dealer to get the screws.

Also, Hobie dealers carry the "locking screws" that prevent the gudgeon screws from backing out on their own.

I was able to find 12/24 in 1" machine screw at Home depot. As I understand, 12 is the diameter, 24 is the threads per inch, and 1" is the length; so this should work, right? It only a temporary solution, just want to make sure it will be good for the weekend.

Thanks
