There is a reference to it on the Hobie Bravo pages... about it being the grand daddy of the Bravo:

>>Design Note: Hobie History revisited. Hobie Cat's new Hobie Bravo combines decades worth of design and experience to achieve a boat with the style, function and durability expected from a Hobie. (more)<<

There is a link to a copy of the original 4 page brochure:

Now that's great service Matt.

 How about going through the Hobie archives again and finding the same kind of info for my '75 Hobie 3.5 ? :D

Matt, thanks for the data on the Hobie 12. I had one from 1972 to 1975. Great little boat. The Bravo seems quite a lot larger. We also had a Hobie 10, made of ABS plastic same as the H-12.

Caleb Tarleton, H-12 & H-10, H-14, H-16, H-18, and now two H-17's

Matt,

I had found that already. Unfortunately it doesn't show much details.

For example, I am missing the mast top cover. Is there a chance that it could be the same as the Hobie 12 or any other boat HC made in the past ? :?:

I imagine that there's not much staff left for Q&A from the time my boat was built in 1975 ...

Still thankful for everything you can provide.

Post subject:  Hobie 12 Hawaiian Tropic????

I recently purchased a '74 Hobie 12 for my daughter to learn the basics on. I've found the manuals for it on here but I'm still lost on something. This certain boat had the Hawaiin Tropic logo on the sail and on the port/starboard side of the craft. Is this some type of promotional boat for Hawaiian Tropic through Hobie? Anyone have any type of history about this or other boats like it? please feel free to email me! Thanks

THANK YOU!!! I've been looking for this for a while!

I was gifted a Hobie Mono Cat and have spent some time trying to get the pieces together. I'm guessing at new lines and odds and ends and getting pretty close. Of course, there is always the chance that the styrofoam will get soaked and the thing becomes permanent at the lake...

But, hoping that it works out... Matt, I'm missing a couple of pieces. Would Hobie have the data on any of the pieces that I could 3D print them?I'm missing a cover for the storage compartment and my jam cleat is broken.

Also, any chance there is a way to salvage the craft given the styrofoam situation? It seems there could be a way to seal the styrofoam so that it doesn't absorb water or just seal of the hull completely. Marine glue is MVP here?

Nothing at Hobie was digitized. Nothing left. No prints either.
