Hello,

Has anyone had any luck using a davit or lift to raise a Getaway sized sailboat over a bulkhead and onto the shore (lawn). So I can put it on beach wheels and roll it to the garage.....

We have a bulkhead that is about 3.5ft above the water and had a piling added for a jetski lift/davit. I wanted to make dual use of whatever "lift type" we purchase (probably a davit) and was wondering if anyone has experience or suggestions for lifting a rigged cat using either method.

Previously I used a 25ft aluminum ladder (split to make two ramps) and a 12v winch attached to a post to winch the Getaway to the lawn over the bulkhead. However, since we are going to be install a lift anyway, I thought there could be a better solution.

Thanks,
Chuck

We use a 4 point sling to raise and lower our F-18's off a boat lift at some Yacht clubs.
