Is anyone planning on coming up to SF for the ACWS?

Jeremy,

Are you going to cover the Big Boat Series now that cats are invited. It sure would be neat to see the D Class Cats, the Formula 40 and the SL 33 go at it.

Absolutely! It's going to be difficult with the F18 Worlds, but I'm gonna do it. Focusing on multis of course!

For those of us not fimilure with the bay, what is the best way to see this/these race(s). Is it possible to watch from our cat? Where would be the best place to launch? What is the edict for for being in the water around these boats?

The best place to watch is from the beach at Crissy Field in San Francisco. It is not recommended to watch from your Hobie Cat on the water since strong wind and tides will keep you busy and wet and you don't want to be in the AC45s way. Besides, the weather mark is near the south pier of the Golden Gate Bridge so the boats will be sailing past Crissy Field on a downwind leg.

Parking will be difficult and public transportation is recommended.
