Post subject:  Source for colored mylar sails for H21

I have an original Hobie 21 and am looking for a replacement set of sails. I have not been able to find a source for something similar in design (relatively high performance 3 color vertical cut mylar). Anyone have any idea where to get them ? Where does Hobie get its sails for its 20, 21s ?

Hobie Cat can get you the Mylar Mainsail for the 21SE. It is listed in the catalog. Any Hobie Cat dealer has access. Same materials as the Hobie 20... same colors are available. The Jibs are all dacron now. We do not build a Mylar jib.

Post subject:  Blue mylar sail repair material for Hobie 21

I have to do some sail repairs on my original set of H21 vertical cut mylar blue ,teal and pink sails for my 21SE (hull 206). How do I go about getting a yard or two of the mylar large scrum sailcloth (blue or clear especially) ? The local sailmakers don't have any and can't get any.

Thanks

You can order sail cloth from a Hobie Dealer.

The material available now would be current colors same as offered for the Hobie 20. This is call DIAX. It is sold by the Yard (54" wide).

The cost will be about $20.00 a yard.
