Well, I already have a post on the 14 forum about this. In my hunt for the serial # on my 14 I found out that it might be a really old boat. On both forward pylons the # 242 is engraved. Does that mean that my boat is really that old, it could be from the 60's.
I love my old boat and would never consider selling it but this discovery might call for a name change. For now she is Blazing Glory but being that she is an older lady I might have to go for something more mild.
If it is really from the sixties that would probably make it one of the oldest boats still sailing. The boat has been in a garage for the last 10 years, the guy I bought it from got it with the house he had just bought. It could have been there for many years before he bought the house. I called him and tried to get any contact info about the guy who had it before him. He didn't have any info so the search has come to and end. If anyone has info on this old lady or how old she might really be please tell me.
I want to know more about my boat, I must say that for as old as she is she is fast and is in great shape. No soft spots or anything.
Thanks to Hobie and this forum for the great boat and any info.
