Just curious. Browsing the web, came across some nice Hobie pics. I like the look of the boat too, with no boom, and what looks like a dedicated wear strip on keel. I don't know this model though. They seem to be in Cuba They have a litter of them http://www.flickr.com/photos/23641763@N ... /lightbox/ |

It's a Hobie 15, a European model not generally available in North America: http://www.hobie-cat.net/hobie-cat/inde ... 78&lang=en |

Thanks, sorry to hear it's not available here. I do like the look of it. Must make sure if I ever go to a resort down there, they have Hobie cats. |

You will find many H15´s in places like Antigua, Cuba and other Caribbean resorts, especially those islands with a 'connection' to Europe. Plus they are common in many sail clubs and resorts in Europe. We sailed them in Antigua, fun, high volume hulls, simple rig, can take four adults, and the feel/response/performance is good. Think of them as a training or resort boat. Sailed a Wave today off the beach, south of Cancun.... |
