Another tale of the Hobie way
My son broke a HC 16 jib batten last year at Edisto Beach SC no big deal at all
A friend keeps many spare parts and offered me a spare jib batten I went to pick up the batten and also a old hobie jib to go on my Catalina Capri 18 keel boat which is a perfect fit
The batten was usual Hobie stuff however when I looked at the sails I was surprised at how they looked The main and jib were carefully folded but they were in a large pile The sails while not new were very close They would barely fit in the cab of the pickup
Got them home and found that one batten pocket had two rivets broken
My wife makes a great Sunbrella fabric sail bag that will be used as a token repayment
What a Great Hobie Day
