There has been some talk about this drysuit in the kayaking community. Sounds like the general consensus has been that it is a great budget drysuit for someone who doesn't need the best of the best.

Just thought I would share. $225 for the base model and $325 for a relief zipper.

I was gonna go today. Winds were forecasted around 15mph. then 2 days ago they updated it to 20, now 25mph........ would have gone with a buddy, but temps are dropping quick......... no thanks.

That's a smoking deal. May have to snag one for my gal. Definitely not a kokatat but for the price it beats being cold!

It is a great deal, but you're getting what you pay for.

What's missing in comparison to a good sailing dry suit:
- Protection for the neck and wrist gaskets - one good snag, and it's not a dry suit anymore.
- Because the wrist/neck gaskets are "heavy duty", they may not be that comfortable. (This is the reason most people don't like dry suits - a too-tight neck gasket makes you feel like you're being choked.)
- Wear patches on the knees and butt

At least it does have feet though.

I snagged a great Kijiji deal on an unused, still tags on it, "Ocean Rodeo - Pyro" (Canadian Company) that I really like but I thought, for the price, that I wouldn't miss the feet. I do.

Yeah, feet are important. The Gore-Tex socks on my OS Systems suit are really nice, but I hate wearing shoes (of any kind) on the boat. I can't feel the lines lying across my feet and I invariably get tangled up in the mainsheet.

Just an FYI

We sent 2 10 year old suits back to Kokatat for a tune up. (seal repair and seam tape)

Got a call yesterday that they found delams in the Gortex layers and were going to replace our suits with new ones FREE of charge. And pay the shipping.

You get what you pay for.
