Just in case any one else is considering the Garmin Forerunner 10, I thought I'd write down my impressions. Bought it for $130 on amazon (saturday delivery FTW) and tried it for the first time today. Overall, I'm very pleased with the purchase. I really liked having the speed feedback right there on my wrist. Also some nice reporting features on the Garmin Connect website (see below). I would say only downside was the low battery alert at around 5 hours into GPS usage... but it didn't actually power off, then again I was done sailing for the day at that point.
