We discontinued tours due to many secret projects happening last season. Not sure if they have started offering them again, but I'll check.

hobie matt was good enough to let me look over the fence at the hobie cat factory. could not see a lot except i did see a truck unloading some carbon fiber masts that had to have been 40 feet long these were easily carried by one person
.next thing was some really long rudders with some kind of small wings on the bottom. they had some wiring coming out of the top so they probably adjust by computer. last thing i saw three workers carrying a finished cat into the shop it looked bigger than my 21 se. rumors at the beer joint reveled that the newest super hobie is all computer controlled the crew just generates electric power using the hobie pedal system using small generators. the boat is supposed to do 60 mph plus with no captain needed The computer will not allow the boat to turn over

I had the power stuff wrong The new Super Hobie 22 mast and hulls will be covered with solar panels to provide power to the computers and to power the hydrofoils.
