Going to be selling the Getaway as i need a bigger boat to take the family on (wife, 1.5yr old, 4 yr old)...need something with a swing keel and or water ballast as the canal where i keep the boat is shallow at low tide (only 6-8' at high tide) looking at the Catalinas, Hunters, MacGregors...anyother suggestions?

Uh, you DID realize this is the Hobie Forum???

Just kidding.

Try the Cruisers and Sailing Forum. Very knowledgeable people on probably any boat you can think of. Except Hobies, I have found. thats how I found you guys.

I Suggest doing a "search" first, probably most of your answers are there. or post on the Monohull or Multihull topics.

Its at:

Good luck.

Now can I have your Getaway??

i am considering the Cat 22 Capri and the 25. only problem with the 25 is that there are no siderails to walk around, to get to the bow, you have to climb over the cabin top...with little ones on board they'll want to go forward...looking for rails where i can put on the saftey netting as well
