I am completely new to sailing and looking to buy a Wave. The local shop is recommending the Loadrite 16800CW to go with it. I have checked on the web and can't find the weight of that trailer or any reviews of it. I also noticed they quote the width as 8' which makes it a couple of inches too wide for my garage door (where I hope to store the Wave).

Does anyone have an opinion on the trailer - good or bad? Does anyone know what it weighs and whether it really is exactly 8' wide? I am also wondering if I could cut the crossbars a bit so it fits, given that the Wave is only 7' wide.

(BTW, I know the Trailex is very popular but I've read some bad stories about trying to get a kit trailer registered and inspected in PA, which is why I'm considering the Loadrite).

Thanks... Andy
