I'm a newbie and plan on making a few mistakes along the way. To cover this, I intend to install a mast float, but the float brackets that I see seem to be compatible with a newer mast. I have an '84 and it has the old mast type no longer in production. Do you still make a mast float compatible with the old style mast? A product number would be useful. Thanks! |

There is a small parts bag and instruction that comes with the 30115 mast float. This explains the installation on the older masts. There are 4 small/short screws that thread into the mast head to hold it in place. |

Are mast floats appropriate for a H18? I will be single handing a boat with a comp tip. |

I use a removable mast float with my H18 when soloing as it helps when needed. I also carry additional righting equipment "just in case" which hasn't been needed as yet. When racing or carrying crew, I remove it. |
