Post subject: | Looks easy enough to me |
I am extremely interested in the tri-foiler myself but have yet to find someone that can give me an introductory sail. I have a feeling that the ownership is few and far between at a going price of $13K+ (or roughly the price of 20 to 25 year old used 30 foot Catalina Cruiser with auto-helm, a head, a galley, a shower, onboard wash down self sufficiant electrical and potable water system, 4 sets of sails, new main and 150, cradle, depth and GPS systems, refrigerator etc etc---at least that is what I will probably end up spending my $13k on) but I am rambling as usual- the point is that you probably won't get a lot of feedback to this question. All I can say is that it looks easy enough, but at those high speeds, you better know the rules of the road and have a lot of room to exercize them in. I have a feeling that a lot of powerboaters would be reluctant to "give way" to a 15 foot wide speed demon... |
