I bought the roller fairlead kit to upgrade two swivel cam cleats and they don't fit. After removing the bullseye I find that the rollers conflict with the large rivet that connects the large irregular mounting plate to the round plate below.

Has anyone else seen this? I bought both from the same local hobie shop and couldn't imagine there would be a brand miss-match.

The retrofits kits I've seen have the two rollers and a top and bottom plate like the Harken 161:

You may need to drill a hole in the bottom plate to clear the swivel rivet.

Hey thanks mbounds. I'll have to look into the 161s. It still may not work in my case though. Check out these pix. Not as clear as I'd prefer as they were taken with the 'ol crackberry. As you can see the flaring at the bottom of the rollers is clearly conflicting with the rivet I mentioned.

Even if I did secure one of the Harken 161s do you think there'd be enough of a gap in between the rollers once it was drilled? I suppose I could elevate my rollers (or the bottom plate of the harken 161) with washers enough to give the needed clearance. But then I'm into jerry-rigging it, having to buy the exact screws needed only longer, and then only to end up with misaligned rollers respective to the cleat and being higher off the bottom plate the roller set up would be weakened. I dunno....

I'm a little confused honestly, I thought these parts were made for each other and to have them not fit like this is a bummer.
