Thanks you guys with the tips. I will still file the edges down then put on a thick layer electrical tape. Or some thick clear plastic tubing would work too. I need to work on my rudders too. The humm at speed.

lol. Its easy to make though. Unless you're going with something like PBO its just as cost effective compared to wire. It'd take care of the rubbing issue as well.
