Will there ever be an electric drive unit specifically for the Pro Angler?

This boat is a slug in the water and traveling any distance is a chore even with the Marage Drive.
A nice removable electric drive that could fit in the drive well would be a killer accessory.
It could get you to those far off spots with battery power saving your energy for paddling around hunting fish.

I dont like the idea of attaching a trolling motor to the rear where I can not see it or get to it if needed.
Same for mounting one on the front ... too hard to reach.

Have you not seen the eVolve yet? I'd guess not...

Hi Matt,
I was wondering if there are any plans in the works that would make it possible to recharge the eVolve battery with solar panels or through pedaling the Mirage drive? It would make the eVolve so much more useful on those extended journeys. Another idea would be to have a portable power unit (solar chargeable) which could then transfer a charge to the eVolve battery. I'd purchase one immediately!

Cheers,

GR8 Laker

All ideas we know Torqueedo is thinking about.

I don't know if or when Hobie's version will have this, but in the latter half of this video, Torqeedo for 2011 shows a waterproof solar panel that will recharge the battery while using it, and allow (in sunlight) unlimited range at 2mph.
