My new Adventure will be here December29th

I've ploughed my way through all the fishing rigging forums.

Before I go off and add new cleats, etc etc I'd be interested in what people have done to rig their Hobies or other yaks for spear fishing and diving.

I have the gut feel that I'll want to keep the fishing rigging to flush mountings, say, versus ball fittings if I decide to use the boat for spear fishing/diving (getting in and out with impaling myself)

I'm particularly interesting in free divers that use their yaks without anchoring. I've use a 25 foot parachute cord for dragging my OC-1 behind me while swimming long distance and reef snooping. Don't have a problem with cord entanglement as it pretty short. But what if I want to go deeper?

There is a guy here that lets his kayak drift when he make his dives. I'm reluctant to gamble due to wind (more on that in the safety forum). How effective are sea anchors? An OC-1 can get away from you in a New York second (not minute).

The counter to fish rigging interference with diving is I wouldn't want to put any mountings on for diving that might foul up the fishing.

Maybe I need more info on what can be inserted into a flush mount? Swap outs for specific usages?
