My son Matt's big goal for this Summer is to be able to kayak fish without any help. He's 10 now and that's how old I was when I was allowed to start venturing up to the lake so he's enrolled himself in Kayak Fishing 101 with Dad. We're starting off slow taking short trips a couple times a week, right now we're not really concentrating on catching fish though. Before he can learn that he's got to know all his safety rules, knot tying, and paddling and pedaling teqniques. So far he's doing great, he's got the knot tying, he's been kayaking since he was 5 so the safety knowledge and the paddlng was pretty much already beat into him. Here are a some pictures of our first couple trips out, he's got the tarpon bug so hopefully by the end of the Summer he'll get his tarpon fix.
