My Spring Creek (http://www.springcreek.com) rig has arrived! I unpacked it and set it up in the garage to show you. I'm very pleased with the red amas and the black powder coated rig.

Still freezing cold here, so final assembly and first sail with my Hobie Classic "trimaran" conversion will be a while.

Great job, could it mounted up front on the revo, say just in front of the Mast like some other Sail-Yaks i have seen?

Skymax,

Kirk in California has experimented with the rear mount, and is seems to work great from viewing his video.
So I will try that mount first.

I have ordered an extra set of mounts, so I will try the forward set-up too. The rear mount on the 2007 Mirage Classic and forward of the mast on the 2007 Sport Fisherman.

I looked yesterday and it looks too hard to reach under the deck on the Sport Fisherman for a rear mount.

Kudos to Spring Creek for sending me matching papaya color akas (tri-floats) for my papaya color Hobie Adventure.

I took it out this afternoon and they look and work awesome! 8)

Hi, Tom,

Are you able to sail your Classic, yet?

I'm dying to see your pictures with the setup in action.

By the way, I just posted above my papaya/mango colored floats on my papaya color Hobie Adventure. Spring Creek swapped my grey ones with no charge at all. I took the kayak out yesterday and it sailed so well. I got a lot of comments like where did you get those matching aka/floats and that is such a cool boat. 8)

FYI, the mango color (not yellow) Spring Creek stabilizer floats are the same color as the papaya color Hobie kayaks. Do not order the yellow (it's too bright). The mango is the color to order if you have a papaya color Hobie kayak.

thanks for the link kb - that looks like a blast! about how fast were you going?

is sailing the revo without the amas unstable? i'd guess it would be more stable than my outback. i'm thinking of getting a sail kit for my outback and am concerned that without amas i'd be dunking myself.

thanks again!

Funny, but my wife hasn't expressed any interest toward getting her Revo rigged with the sail we have for it. We last used the sail on the Outback we had last year, but it can't begin to compare with the sail of the TI.

Can I get a link to the video of the revolution please. I'm split between buying an AI and just modifiying my Revo. Very nice setup.
