OK,

I think I have it bad.

It's been two months since I was able to sail. Now the lake is covered with ice and I have been thinking about the fact that I have a spare frame, mast, boom and sails.....

Has anyone ever read about converting an H-16 for ice sailing?

Seems to me there would need to be some kind of shock absorption rigged and the steering might be a trick....

There's ice sailing to satisfy your jones, which has been around a long time. And it's close cousin, land sailing.

I hear ya' on the missing sailing already. From my inquiries the DN iceboat is the way to start out, relatively cheap and lots of them around. Then you can move on to your "wild thang" :twisted: 16

Another thing I learned is the season is short, early and late, when there is no snow on the ice. Have fun, be safe!

We took a 16 down a sledding hill once, without the mast and all. It was pretty sweet. :shock: Oh, and pretty FAST!!! :twisted:
