My new yak, picked it up Friday, trailer 4m Dunbier sport, mods (minus cradle) $120 AUST, AI overhang 1m which is 20cm under the legal for New South Wales. Took it for a sail yesterday, goes quicker than a dog shot in the arse  , great fun too, very happy.

Cheers, XD. :D

Are you able to sail Lake Burley Griffin?
Where do you sail in ACT?

Hi Paul67, I sail at Googong or have done the last two Sundays. The good thing about Googong is there is nearly always wind to sail....except last Sunday up until 3 pm. I'm starting to work on the boat with rod holders, fish finder etc. I've just got to work out where to put them. So whilst doing that I'm working on the sailing thing. (never sailed before). Next purchase will be shark shield and down to Batemans Bay for a trip in the salty stuff. (got to organize a trip with some friends.) Do you guys have an AI/TI and if so should come for a sail.

Cheers, XD. :D

I am not lucky enough to have picked up my TI yet, just troll around the forum hoping/wishing. I have to wait until Sep until my TI will be delivered. Would love to one day come out!

Don't worry too much mate it will come, and just think....the weather will be warmer the winds good the water sparkling and you Rebecca having a ball on your brand new TI. I'm might got out on Sunday again, winds are predicted to be 20km NW should be able to get a fair bow wave going!

Cheers, have a good weekend. XD.

Well what a weekend here. Gale force NW winds, straight off the snow covered mountains, rain and hail predicted. Needless to say not much sailing got done. If I went to Googong dam I would have taken a surf board instead. So I sat in my shed and tinkered with the yak with the fire going and had a few beers. Thanks for the welcome Cowsgomoo, I have tried to post pix using the img button but doesn't seem to want to work. Any hints?

Cheers.XD

asking the obvious ( possibly ) have you uploaded them to the web?

secondly make sure you are using the .jpeg link and not a .html link or the tag wont work.

thirdly make sure you close of the bbcode tag ie. [img]insert url here[/img]
