Good pic Bob. If anyone wonders why they're getting weather helm, consider where the CE is compared to the CLR! And if you looked at the side-on view, with mast also raked back severely, it only gets worse! While most seem to consider a jib for light wind conditions, it would be excellent for heavy winds too, as it moves the CE forward. But - it would certainly need to be mast-top mounted, so that the mainsail can still be furled, as well as the jib of course.

Im still waiting for mine to arrive but when it does is there anyone around the Brissy area that could offer assistance on the installation of one of these & a sounder? Not for free of course

I guess the 800 is ok, depends on your battery and what else is attached to it too.
I don't like float switches in a kayak, and would go with a normal or magnetic switch any day, but that is me..

Is a good, automatic alternative.
The problem with the automatic switches is that some respond to even small amouts of water, and with the movement of the kayak it's a bit like pump on---off---on-off, even if it is not enough water for the pump to actually pump it out.
