Recently refinished a hobie 16 and have a hobie 20 in the works. I'm interested in getting inti racing in the central Florida area but don't know where to start. I am located near winter park in Orlando and have been lake sailing locally and hit the Atlantic via new symerna beach.

I would love to find a hobie 20 fleet close by if possible but any racing would be great! It would also be nice to meet up with other hobie lovers in the area.

Thanks for any advice!
Tom

Fleet 80 is in Daytona and Fleet 45 is located in Cape Canaveral/Merritt Island. Fleet 45 sails right off of the Beachline (SR 528) on the Banana River.

I have a couple of friends that have 18's, 20, and a couple of Waves. We put in anywhere from the inlet side in New Symrna Beach to the Indian River Lagoon in Titusville.

Thanks for the response.

It seems the fleet45 has almost no online presence, which is impressive these days, and fleet 80 is very limited and doesn't have much of a calendar to speak off.

Would be nice if we could get some more interest together as there appear to be a good number of small groups here and there.

If anyone has an interest in meeting up one of these weekends from a group sail that would be awesome. Might be able to borrow some markers for some impromptu racing for glory and/or booze. :D

I forgot; Try Performance Sail and Sport in Melbourne. The owner puts on weekly and monthly races for all types.
