I've posted most of these clips before in our Broughton Island log but I was surprised at how much the mood changed with slow motion and different music. :)

Big swell! Nice pics. Can we see 'normal speed' to compare. I like the effect

That clip looks terrific in slo-mo! Great camera angle too... was this from the tripod?

Another great rendition of a great video.

I was out in conditions like that again today, and if finally got too bad and we turned and ran for another port. :)

Forecast was 15k winds, right! (My top speed was 12.8 mph in the AI)

Great theme, excellent plot and including my favorite "Neptune" climax:

Brilliant, loved the choice of music & the vid.

It was v. interesting to see how those tramps held up in those seas.

Bob, where's the vid??? Busting to see some more of the 'mad Hawaiians' in action too!

Love that clip and totally agree mate. There is a kayaking Youtube video that has the Crash Test Dummies as the background theme song. I have watched it about 10 times because the song and clip complement each other so well.
The slow mo really suits your clip as well. I think it shows the waves at a more realistic size. You certainly got wet on that last one. If you zoom in you can see how concerned I was.
P.S. I finished the camera mount the other day. Just need an ocean swell to test it out.

davew and vorticity,
Thanks.

Bob,
As you know when I first posted the clips of our Broughton Island trip we were all disappointed that the video didn't accurately show the conditions we experienced. I think the slo-mo remix gives a better idea of what the swell was like. We had light favourable winds that trip. It was the combination of tide, swell and waves bouncing back from the Shoal Bay headland that made it challenging.

Roadrunner,
I would like to have ended the clip with that cloud face blowing out the light but sadly that is way beyond my editing skills!

Tim,
So you have heard of trampolines!!
I wouldn't be without them.

Slaughter,
I thought the waves looked more realistic too.
The music is just as important, maybe more so than the video. There is so much great music out there that would fit but I am wary of copyright. All the music I have used on Youtube is from my Smartsound library and is copyright free. (you pay for the discs.)
Looking forward to seeing the new camera mount.
PS:
If you remember I kept turning around and retracing my track. It was because my AI is Red I had to keep going back so you guys in the slower yellow could keep up. I just didn't want you all feeling bad.
And you all thought it was because I dropped something!

You're pretty safe with classical music mate. The first movement of Beethoven's Third (Eroica) Symphony would go very well with that clip too - it's rhythm always reminds me of an ocean swell.

Yeah, your lunch.
