I tried the hobie hull cleaner but with the stains I get from the Rivers and lakes around here it really doesn't work all that well. What has worked is if I give a shot of Tilex to the stuborn areas, a quick wipe and good rinse. I follow this by a good coat of the hobie protectant spray. What do the rest of you use?

I have an Ivory Dune PA and have found that a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser does a good job on stains. I just use Armor All as a protectant -- it seems to do the job well.

I've been using 303 protectant on my PA. Really worth the $$$ to keep my hobie looking new. I have used this on my trucks plastic trim and after 10 years the trim still looks new.

+1 for the 303 protectant. Not the cheapest.. but on Plastics, vinyl, rubber and the like there is nothing better. Use it on the boats and the cars.
40 SPF sunblock for your stuff.

I've been using a degreaser since 2006 0n all my Hobies(as well as my coolers); it works the best. Then about twice a year a coating of the 303 spray. No harm to hull, keeps it looking new.

For degreasing the white Adventure, I recently discovered "Krud Kutter". I prefer it over 409 and Hobie Boat Cleaner.

For protection, I like Hobie Protectant. 303 would be my second choice. 8)

Thanks for the additional options. With the heat this year, seems the stains bake right in before I get home to rinse the yak off.

Where do you buy 303 protectant? Does is really provide any more protection than Armor All?

I have only used my moss colored PA in the high Sierra freshwater lakes, no problems with stains at all. I have only washed my PA once since I got it last summer and except for the scratches in the bottom of the hull after washing it it looks new again.
