Too cool. Don't see that often. Mostly spinners.

He probably was trying to warn you off, so the pod could keep the Mahi for themselves though.

Or mebbe that's your "Aumakua"?

Yesterday on Kaneohe Bay, I ran into 25 LARGE Honu (Green Sea Turtles), and a couple sets of big Manta Rays doing the nasty. !

Not so much Mahi though.

Nohuhu,

Not sure about Mr. Honu; but, dolphins and rays sometimes mark ahi's and mahi's for you down below. Not this time but it was all good to have friendlies around. The ahi's and mahi's will just get bigger next time ;)

C2Y, thanks for posting the vid.

I'm curious though: what's the big blue thing on your tramp?

Knowing Cliffs2yak, it's a really big fish bag.

Captain-Max,

The blue thingy on my tramp is a 6' fish bag that got carried over into another fishing adventure. It's about a foot too long for the TI's tramps but it's not really getting in the way. Ends up being extra capacity just in case :)

Aloha,

Cliffs2yak

AD,

Just in case my wife is browsing...why yes! :)

PS, I'm still getting use to the new boat. Not as easy as you guys make it look. Hoping for a long Pohoiki - Hilo Bay sailing run next year.
