Ted,
Check out page 11 of the catamaran parts for sale on the beachcats.com and you will see two cat trax for a 21 for only $4oo.Mine cat traxs are 1989 and still look new and having two would spread the weight much better.Location,NH which is ? close to you.. :D .
I am not trying to promote the completion but I am trying to help.
good luck Bill 404 21SE

Two sets of cat wheels will spread the load but turning will be hard
My rubber tire cat wheels do just fine

i spoke with the gentleman from catrax and found out it is a $ 50 axle extension that i can use with my existing trax so will plan on doing that. anyone have any favorites on hull cradles for the trax, and the 21 who makes the beter set or should I make my own when i am doing my repairs?

Ted,
Just order those cradles from catrax when ordering the axle extension. They work well and will last.
I fabricated a "Z" channel from 1/8 aluminum walk plate that I bolted to a aluminum tool box under my boat on the trailer. This "Z" channel holds my catrax out of the way and on aluminum so no rusting between dissimilar metals. This tool box is design to fit under a fifth wheel set up in the truck bed,low profile design. It is a great place to keep extra gear already loaded on the trailer and the weight over the trailer axle. :D
