Hey

Found a local dealer who has the following

'01 Getaway with Trailer/Box, wings, traps $6300

'02 or '03 Wave with Dolly $3200-3300

Just need your thoughts on how the pricing looks...I am selling my Hunter 146 for $4500 (almost sold)

Is the Getaway used? Or, has it been sitting at the dealer for 5 years? The price sounds steep to me as I sold an '05 Getaway last fall on a trailer for (If I can remember correctly) about $7K. I would try to talk him down. What area of the country are you in?

For southern New England/Norhtern Mid Atlantic is just sounds a little high for the Getaway.

I can't put any hard facts behind this, but around $5000 sounds/feels like a more reasonable price for the area. Someone else jump in if I am wrong here.

For comparison, I recently bought an '02 Wave in good condition by itself without any extras for $1000. I had to buy a brand new trailer for $900, but I figure $1900 all in isn't too bad.

PHLOCKER,

Don't know about you, but if I could use a boat for a while and then sell it and not lose any money, just my time??? I'd take the money and RUN AWAY, real fast. :P
