I think we have seen that vid before, but it is definitely worth a second look. Great!

Getting back to the purpose of this thread, I've had a slight change of heart. I certainly think that Hobie should modify the bow of their AIs (& TIs) to better deflect waves. Also, a properly modified bow could reduce diving and cutting through waves--that deficiency was my main complaint several years ago. Of course, Hobie could also modify the amas to reduce cutting/diving. With the advent (construction) of my expedition hakas (http://www.hobiecat.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=70&t=7276&start=240) and re-distribution of weight, which had been in the hull, out to my hakas, diving and wave-cutting has been greatly reduced. When I'm camping, it has not been much of a problem since I started using hakas.

Matt, your exploits (and brilliant videos of them) are absolutely stunning! It is absolutely clear that the "snout" on your AI does exactly what it is designed for.

Thanks

+1 Nice!

I love to see a simple, unmodified AI doing fun things.

I am curious if the new, 2015 AI will not require a wave deflector?
