Have just ordered a new TI and am trying to sort out the storage issues. I am planning to mount the cradles to the bunks of a boat lift which will be the TI's home for most of the year. I'm thinking a remote control for the lift will allow me to lower the lift until the TI is close to the water, then get in and lower it until it floats off. Same process on reverse when I get back to the dock. Is this a viable plan? Issues? Will it be a real bear to align the TI with the cradles? Will long term storage on the cradles cause hull distortion? Thanks for any suggestions.

I bought my TI last May when they first came out and have been storing it on my trailer on top of the Hobie TI cradles. I have not had any problems and the boat and trailer is kept in an unairconditioned garage which gets really hot.

To reduce hull distortion, you may wish to position the TI so that each of the hull's two drive wells are centered over the cradles. The TI slides easily along the cradles.
