This sounds like a pretty good get together. I've been promising myself a trip to the big smoke for a sail and meet up with the Sydney mob, so this could be the right outing. I'll be traveling down from the North and don't know the harbour coastline at all so I'll keep an eye on this thread to suss out the best launch spot. Look forward to catching up with you all.

P.S. If you come Mickey, I'll shout you a hamburger.

Jeez Slaughter - if you're offering one with the lot that's pretty tempting

Just a clarification. On 21 Feb I suggested a group outing from Woollahra on 10 April. But soon after, the much better offer of a free egg & bacon roll courtesy Sailing Scene came up for 17 April. So I'll be doing that one instead.

A few weekends I went out from Violet Hill camping ground / boat ramp on the Myall Lakes. Sailed across to Shelley Beach and camped for the night. Absolutely beautiful place, with white sandy lake side beach - unique. Good camping amenities supplied by National Parks. AI plus TI plus 2 sea kayaks in flotilla. Highly recommended.

Thanks for the info Donald. A few years ago, we spent a week cruising the Myall Lakes on a houseboat and it was one of the best holidays I've had. Stringy and Croc (Geoff) and I spent a day sailing out of Mungo Brush in 2009, but I've been thinking of a more extended camping trip up that way on the AI for some time.

Donald - noted!
It's on my bucket list
Look forward to hearing all about the 17th.

This is just a friendly reminder that we are still going ahead with this AI/TI sailing day this Sunday 17th at Balmoral. We will be there RAIN HAIL or SHINE (shine is preferable)

http://www.hobiecat.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=74&t=34415

Free BBQ will be on from 9am

I have spoken with Balmoral Sailing School, and there is room to store trailers down there for free, but parking fees still apply for the cars (to help poor little mosman council :? )

So if you have any questions, please let me know. So far i am hoping for aroudn 20 boats, so it is looking good.

Looking forward to seeing you all there!

Cheers
Chris Barnes
