I live in Sothern California and I'm interested in buying a used Hobie 18.
Where can I find the best selection of used boats?

Your Hobie dealer is a must when purchasing a used Hobie especially if its your 1st boat. They should have leads to where boats are as well as the needed replacement parts to keep on the water and staying safe. Try the classifieds section of you local news paper. Post a wanted at on this websites wanted section. The 1st thing I do when a used boat come in is replace the rigging, every piece of standing rigging. I would advise you to do the same as well. This way I know when I send this boat out it will not de-mast. Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,

Specifically

http://www.TheBeachcats.com/modules.php ... &file=find

The problem is that few people list locations you have to figure out from the phone area code.

True, and I practically beg for that information when they submit the ads. I'm also surprised how few take advantage of the ability to upload a photo.

Be sure to check the classifieds on this site as well.

http://www.hobiecat.com/community/viewforum.php?f=7&sid=3b52ec220bc812b4cc35bb23804bb0a7

And the Looking to buy one:

http://www.hobiecat.com/community/viewforum.php?f=10

These are "Auto Pruned" so listings are automatically tossed after about 30 days.
