Due to low water at Lake Hefner (remember '07) the 14/16 Divisionals,
aka Daggerless Regatta, is postponed

Please inform any sailors you know were attending ASAP

Per Fleet 25's Mark Benge
Quote:
We have not checked the schedule yet to determine a replacement date,
but we do plan to hold the regatta on a future date, if at all possible.

Stay tuned for further info

THE WATER IS FINE IN SHREVEPORT!!! If we can't hve a Daggerless, come on down to Shreveport and participate in Hobie Fleet 401's inaugural event, Holiday-In-Dixie, April 30 to May 1. Three 20's are pre-registered. As it stands now,one 16 is pre-registered but we will probably have a couple more local 16s participate and maybe a couple from Jackson. All you folks that were going to the Daggerless could pile on and make this an awsome event. Fleet 401 is Division 14's newest fleet and we'd welcome your participation. Pre-registration ends on Friday and cost only $35, late registration is a whopping $45.

John, is there any way to make this a points regatta on short notice? I'd appreciate it if you'd help us drum up some support.

See our NOR at the Shreveport Yacht Club site, http://www.shreveportyachtclub.memberlodge.com/

I think "Daggerless In Dixie" has a nice ring to it. I'll loan my H14 to anyone who knows how to tack it. She's an old five-batten boat, no frills, but it has new rudders. Someone say the word and you've got a boat to sail.

MVD: We had a great time at the regatta! I appreciate all of the hard work by you, SYC, the Race Committee and all involved. Nice people, great food, and super fun cat racing! Thanks again!

Jerome, thanks to you and everyone else that came over to make Holiday/Daggerless in Dixie a great success. Your participation has done wonders to invigorate Hobie sailing in NW Louisiana/East Texas. The whole club enjoyed having the Hobies show up to compete. We'll have to do it again! Let me know when you guys are going to crash a Jackson Yacht Club regatta and I'll see if I can get one of our 16 sailors to go over an let me crew with them.

Mark
