I picked up my TI last week and have nearly finished modifying an old dinghy trailer. Most of my sailing will be local, launched from the trailer at Manly.
SO, where are the Moreton Bay sailers and where do you sail from??

I sail from Manly but have been away for a while but was on the Broadwater GC over Easter.

Be back at Manly in coming month or so I expect.

thanks for the response Angus & jibsail. I have yet to make my first trip, trailer not finished but usable....
I too went to see the start of the race last Fri, took the Whittley up to Bulwer, by 1345 had seen nothing so went down the middle of the bay to improve my chances of seeing the yachts but still could not find them..
I've had this week off work hoping to have spent most of it on the bay but what awful conditions we've had! might go sunday if my anticipated hangover is not too severe.

hey ainut I now know what it's like to peddle long distance. Went out last Mon with a forecast 10 to 15 knots - launched in zero wind from raby bay vmr and went anticlockwise around Peel Island. I'd clocked up 24km before the afternoon sea breeze came in at a blistering 5-7 knots. I think the novelty wore off after 15km! Got a few km sailing in gentle wind - quite impressed up to now...

went out last Sunday arvo from Manly, just out to Green Island. Lots of lightning on the mainland so headed back in, wind dropped off so peddled a while. After a k or two the wind picked up after a 120 degree shift, a bit squally so had a blast for a bit. Maybe on a nice sunny day I'll see another TI out there!
