I just bought a 17ft. Hobie center console power boat, with a 50hp Johnson on the back, but I can't seem to find ANY information on it, internet or otherwise. Guess I'm looking in the wrong places. I have been told by a lady at the Hobie Cat Co. that it was manufactured by a company called "Omni". Does anyone have any information on it, or a booklet or manual to it that they can send me, or point me in the right direction to find it? I don't have any info on replacement parts or how to service the boat, etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Robbie Slater

Your contact here at Hobie Cat was right. The 17 Power Skiff was designed and built by Omni which had gone out of business years ago. They had bought the line and were building under license.

These were built in the mid to later 80's. They had problems with the bigger boat (we designed and built a 15 and then a 13). I did a quick Google search and found nothing about them.

So am I out of luck on finding any info? Or is there somewhere or someone I can go to?

Thanks,

Doesn't look good.

As I said... this is not a Hobie Cat made product. We have zero information on it and have no leads.

I have a similar question. I just bought a 1988 Hobie offshore center console power boat. Wondering where I can find anything about the boat? Owners manual, servicing suggestions, anything? Please advise. Thanks so much!

Hobie has no support materials for parts for the Power Skiff line.

Google is best. There is a company in LA that started building them again.
