Hello all, Just ordered my Wave! Can't wait. What are your experiences CatTraxing your Wave? Do Bare poles with hose cover work well, or do you recommend the cradles?
Thanks,
M

I'm using tiger trax with a straight tube with no worries. I'd prefer to have the cat trax tires, but the price was right.

I loved my Roleez wheels for my H16 for years. They have 4 wheels, come apart in three pieces for trailering and roll super on any surface. We cut a smaller center bar to fit the Wave. It works ok but no where near as well as the Cat track type with the long handle in the center. That one you can use yourself tons easier. I've only borrowed other on the beach so I'm not sure how you trailer with them.

Cat Trax are big bar-bell shaped wheel sets, used for moving catamarans around on the beach. It's lot easier (and gentler on your hulls) than dragging the boat across the ground, especially if there are rocks, concrete or soft sand.

There are different brands and styles, soft rubber wheels, hard plastic wheels; some even have dual sets of wheels, some have cradles for the hulls, some have a T-handle for better control. Nicer ones cost more, but cheaper ones still work.

Some folks make their own, because they can be pretty pricey.
