Similar question to the previous thread...
If I rig my turbo in classic mode, say for racing, is the furler cleat strong enough to be used as a mast rake cleat?

If not, what cleat is recommended for a mast rake cleat?

In this photo, I'm not too keen on having the cleat and fairlead separate and without a base. I'm imagining something that is more of a complete unit.

I think I answered most of my question by looking at this photo. This looks like a turbo rigged classic. I can see the furler jam cleat port side, and another cleat for mast rake starboard side. But it's hard to see the details of the cleat.

The mast rake cleat doesn't take a lot of strain - until you forget about it being on and sheet in to go upwind.

The setup in your first picture works fine.
