 Post subject: forestay and jib rigging

Should the forestay be rigged through the sleeve in the jib? I bought my getaway used and it was rigged outside the jib but now rigging new forestay and noticed the sleeve in the jib and wondered if it should be inside.

Yea it should be inside the jib. I'm not sure how it could have been outside.. there are no hooks to hold it like other sailboats.
Was your jib just attached at the top and bottom? seems weird...

Yup, just attached top and bottom. Sailed all last season with it that way and didn't know otherwise.
