I've sailed the 21SE for a decade. I don't think you will gain much by changing the boards. I've been out solo flying a hull and never realized my boards weren't down until I saw the picture later. It points fine with boards down and the boat is plenty fast as is. Stable and forgiving. Very different from modern cats like the Capricorn but a bunch of fun. Plus I'll put 5 on board and go out in a 20mph wind. What other boat can do that?

Just use your boat, be grateful you lucky enough to own one and have some fun!
