Im adding mugnum wings to my 80' H18. Will this require the addition of anchor plates at all 8 crossbar attachment points? Is there a big risk taking the boat out before I get the plates installed?

Are anchor plates attched with screws or bolts? The spare late 84' hulls seems to use screws, I can not see any nuts on the inside of the hull....

Not really an issue with pre 1984 models. You should have the shroud anchor plate installed.

Thanks, I was hoping that was the case on the earlier models.... I do have a spare set of anchor plates. Would you recommend a location for these? I was thinking the outside mounting locations of the rear crossbar (I've seen a hobie that required repair in these areas due to wing stress).

Front and rear outboards are the locations most common showing stress on models with issues.
